9 Positions to get Guaranteed Orgasm!
1. When it's a mind-blowing, bed-rattling orgasm you're after, keeping it simple is absolutely key. Sure, wild, crazy, never-knew-my-body-could-bend-that-way booty keeps your lust life exciting, but if the goal of the moment is to break pleasure records, you have to stick to the basics. "Trying to accomplish complicated acrobatics distracts you from the sex itself, putting your focus on how you can contort yourself, rather than on just experiencing the sensations," explains sex educator Dorian Solot, coauthor of I (Heart) Female Orgasm. "When you want to climax, the simplest positions are often also the best positions, and with a few modifications, you can make them even more orgasm inducing than they already are." Don't worry, we'd never leave you hanging. Here, Cosmo custom-designed some of the carnal classics to make sure you always hit the high notes.

2. You'll never see missionary position the same way again. "While on your back, put a pillow under your butt, lift your hips, and bring your legs up and back toward your shoulders, as though you're folding in half," says Solot. This move allows him better ease of thrusting and deeper penetration — a perk for both of you. Plus, it can stimulate your G-spot. But consider this a warm-up — you're getting the zone primed for a more intense orgasm. Once your G-spot feels sufficiently stroked, put your legs down and have him get into coital-alignment-technique (CAT) position. "He's on top, but he lifts his pelvic bone upward, aligning it with your clitoris," says sex therapist Gloria Brame, PhD. "Then he rocks against the area until you peak." "The legs-up position is a slow burn that brings you to the brink and increases sensitivity. Then the addition of clitoral rubbing takes you over the edge in a bigger way than if you had done CAT alone," adds Brame.

3.  You've probably tried an all-fours pose before (at least, we hope you have!). But while mentally the doggie-style position has great bad-girl benefits, in order to make it actually orgasmic, you need to modify it a bit. "Lie on your stomach, lifting your butt slightly so he can enter you," suggests Solot. "Your partner can prop himself up with his hands in a push-up position or lie on top of you." Not only does this facedown configuration provide increased friction as he moves in and out, but you can gently grind your clitoral area against the bed as well.

4.   With all the twisting and bending that goes on, sometimes sex can feel more like a cardio workout than a pleasurefest. That's why it's important to have at least one relaxed orgasm — inducing position in your repertoire. Such as this: "While you're on your back, he should lie on his side, turned toward you," explains Solot. "Swing both legs over his hips and thighs, making a bridge over them." Then, just let him gently thrust into you. If it takes you a while to climax, this pose is ideal. "It's not very aerobic, so the sex can go on for a long time without either of you tiring out," says Laura Berman, PhD, director of the Berman Center and author of The Passion Prescription. "When you want to climax, it's easy to touch yourself or he can use his top hand to stimulate you."

5.  Girl-on-top tends to be a go-to for achieving orgasm...and for good reason! "It allows you to dictate the pace and depth of thrusting, but mainly, you have easy access to your clitoris," says Berman. "You can touch your C-spot, have him touch it, or rub against his pubic bone to achieve orgasm." But you can up the ante by literally pulling a 180. Twist around so you're pointed toward his feet in reverse cowgirl position. "Instead of straddling him, put your legs together, feet flat between his legs," suggests Brame. The benefits of this are twofold: With your legs together, the fit is even tighter, making the sensations more intense. Plus, there's increased G-spot stimulation, which combined with your own clitoral strokes, makes for an explosive orgasm.

6.  In some cases, a simple change of scenery can aid in achieving orgasm. For this move, you'll need a kitchen table — one that comes to your man's waist. "Lie down on the table with your butt near the edge," suggests Solot. "He enters you while standing between your legs, holding on to your hips for leverage." You can rest your feet on his shoulders or on the edge of the table. Because he's standing, his hands are free to stroke your body," says Brame. "And he's at a perpendicular angle, rather than right on top of you, making it easier for him to touch your clitoris, unobstructed." To up your odds of orgasming, clench and lift up your butt, which will increase the pelvic tension and blood flow to the area.

7.  This one's always a fan favorite — he sits and you straddle him so you're face-to-face. "You have a lot of control over the speed, angle, and motion because you can use your arms and legs to help you maneuver," says Berman. "Rather than just moving up and down, which can be especially tiring for you, sway forward and back, rubbing your clitoral area against him." In addition to the freedom of movement, there are a few other benefits to this booty move. "If you lean back just a little bit, you'll get greater G-spot stimulation and he'll be able to play with your clitoris," Brame explains. Plus, your breasts will be perfectly aligned with his mouth, adding a whole other layer to the sexual experience.

8.  Obviously, you know emotional attachment is essential to achieving orgasm with your guy. And there's no configuration that's more snuggly than the spoon. To assume the position, simply lie on your side, your guy scooted up behind you. Rather than move in and out, he should stay inside you, gently thrusting against the front wall of your vagina. "Aside from fulfilling your cuddly needs, it provides consistent stimulation to your G-spot, which is key for achieving orgasm from intercourse," Berman points out. "Since he may not be able to penetrate you as deeply though, guide his hand around your hot spot." And just think: Once you've both climaxed, you'll be in perfect postcoital position as well.

9.  When it comes to achieving supreme pleasure, being in the right mind-set is half the battle.
  • Let your thoughts wander. It helps to transport yourself mentally to a sexy place. Fantasize that you're getting it on in a lust-inspiring locale or even with another man, like a hot trainer at your gym or, hell, Justin Timberlake. No guilt — it doesn't mean you want to cheat on your guy.
  • Strengthen your senses. Certain smells and sounds can have a Pavlovian affect on your libido. Think about what puts you in the mood, and then designate an enhancer that will signal to your brain and body that it's time to get naughty. For example, before sex, put on a sultry jazz CD.
  • Be selfish. Worrying too much about your guy's pleasure means you wind up ignoring your own. So silence the inner monologue of "How am I doing?" and simply enjoy the experience. Otherwise, it becomes more work than play.
  • Stay on course. A stressful day's memories can still manage to sneak up on you, even when you're mid-mattress session. To stay in the moment, try to focus your thoughts purely on the physical and pay attention to how every touch, lick, and stroke feels.

The 3 most common sex dreams and what they REALLY mean

According to a recent study at the University of Montreal, sex dreams make up about 8 percent of all dreams for both men and women.  Society’s openness regarding sex, coupled with our growing interest in understanding dream content has taught us that, surprisingly, sex dreams are rarely about sex at all – no matter how saucy they might be.
It’s important to remember that sex, to your dreaming mind, is not about a physical union you want, but rather a psychological union you need!
The Mystery Lover is the most common of all sex dreams. Many of us wonder if this dream is actually a glimpse of our soul mate who might be out there somewhere waiting for us.  Alas, t’is not so.  But what is so is that the unknown, faceless man or woman that often appears in our dreams does indeed hold significance.  As you may remember in Chapter 2, our dreams have a cool way of showing us the different parts of our personality in the form of a person so we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and what makes us tick. That being said, the mystery lover in your dreams is the embodiment, the personification of the qualities we tend to associate with that gender.
If you are a woman, the mystery man represents your male personality traits, the part of you that can be assertive, speak your mind, bring home the bacon, handle your business and even squish the spider in the tub.
I have had this dream several times where I am having very graphic sex with an unknown man.  He is everything I have ever wanted and very kind.  I reach orgasm in these dreams and I always wake up very satisfied, but I never see his face.   -Tammy 40
Lauri:  You are attracted to this man in your dream because your dreaming mind wants you to be attracted to your own male, assertive, money-making, take-charge qualities so that you will use them to improve your life.  Your dream is showing you that this part of you is very much a part of who you are and a part of you that you like.  It’s a VERY GOOD sign that you are having these dreams as it means you have successfully merged your male self into your life and have achieved darn near perfect balance of male assertive energy and female nurturing energy.  The orgasm is like extra credit for a job well done in waking life. Your body doesn’t know the difference between a dreaming event and a waking event, so it re-acts the same. During the sex dream your brain sends messages to the nerve endings in your little lady down there that sex is happening so she responds in the same explosive way as if it were real!
Tammy replies:  I am a single mother and I do everything!  I bring home the money, fix the plumbing, paint, mix cement, etc.  I have been divorced for 13 years now and I do feel I have finally found myself.  I am proud of myself and am very excited that I can do what some men don’t even know how to do when fixing a house.  It saves me a lot of money.

Tammy’s dream is a great example of a woman who has embraced and merged with her male side. Notice how satisfied she is from these dreams. That satisfaction is not just physical; it is emotional and psychological satisfaction as well.

Whenever a woman needs to assert herself or take charge in some form or fashion such as when she is up for a promotion, when she is a single parent and has to play the role of both, or when she needs to speak up for herself during the day, these are the times when the mystery lover will pay her a visit at night.
If you are a man, the mystery woman represents your female qualities… yes, even the hairiest and burliest of men have at least a touch of feminine wiles within. Female qualities are the traits we usually associate with women, such as sensitivity, creativity, being a good listener, nurturing yourself and those around you.  From time to time in a man’s life, it will do him well to acknowledge and utilize these softer qualities.
Throughout life we struggle to incorporate the right balance of each into our personalities and behavior.  A man wants to be caring and understanding, yet he doesn’t want to be a sissy.  A woman wants to assert herself, yet she doesn’t want to be labeled the B word!  Our mystery lover dreams are guiding us towards that perfect balance of firm and gentle, bold and caring, yin and yang.

Cheating dreams can be infuriating, worrisome and the cause of many a slap across the face first thing in the morning.  In fact, in a recent survey I conducted through my website www.thedreamzone.com with over 5000 participants, the cheating dream came in as the #1 most common dream! As upsetting as these dreams can be, the good news is that they rarely indicate that your mate is getting his or her pleasures elsewhere.  They do suggest, however that something rather than someone is taking the time and attention from your mate that you feel you deserve.
I keep getting these dreams about my boyfriend of 5 years cheating on me.  It’s like he doesn’t even care and has no emotion in the dream.  I’m 99% sure he would never do that. I just don’t understand why I keep having these dreams and why they are so constant.  Is it about a trust problem?   - Brenda 24
Lauri:  Did anything happen that would give you a good reason to be distrustful? If not then let’s figure out the other reason you are getting these dreams.  Is he doing something that you are a bit jealous of?  Is he working too much? Spending too much time with friends or on some project or hobby? What is he doing that makes you feel like he should be with you instead?
Brenda:  He always spends time on the computer.  When he comes home from work he goes straight on the computer and does his fantasy baseball thing.  When I start to tell him about my day he won’t even listen and it makes me feel like he doesn’t care.
Brenda’s dream is a clear indication that her boyfriend’s fantasy baseball league has taken on the qualities of a mistress in her mind. And the fact that the dream is so constant means it is a constant issue in their relationship.  He should be tickling her, not the keyboard!  Plus, the apathy he displays in the dream is directly connected to the apathy he shows her in real life.  These dreams will keep happening until Brenda is able to work this out with her boyfriend.
Sometimes, we may be the ones having extracurricular sex with someone other than our mate. These are the dreams where you are very much aware that you are cheating and the feelings of guilt are often included. When you are the one straying in your dreams you need to ask yourself what you may be doing that is taking your attention away from your mate.  The guilt you feel in the dream is a tell tale sign that, deep down, you are aware that this may not be sitting well with your significant other.
Cheating dreams can be very upsetting and they rarely mean an actual affair is going on.  In fact, when understood, they can actually fan the flames in your relationship.  Once you can pinpoint what it is your mate is “cheating on you” with, or what you may be guilty of giving too much time to, it’s time to compromise.  Offer to give up or cut back on something your mate isn’t a big fan of if he or she promises to cut back on the activity that is causing you to feel left out. If you both stick to the compromise, you’ll find that the dreams will stop.
The Ex is a very popular character in our naughty dreams. Even though it may be light years since you were with this person, he or she STILL continues to appear in your dreams, bringing those old feelings back to the surface that leave you wondering if you still may be holding a flame.
I keep having recurring dreams about getting back together with my ex boyfriend.  Sometimes we’re just hanging out and other times it’s downright filthy sex! However, I am married and haven’t spoken to him in over 10 years.  - Jennifer 37
Lauri:  Was he your first love?  Strangely enough, we continue to dream of our first loves, even if we’ve moved on into a happy marriage.  Don’t worry, it’s not that you want him back, it’s that you want what he represents back: excitement, bubbles, passion!  You are likely to get these dreams when your marriage gets a little too routine and humdrum, as all marriages do from time to time.  Your dream is using your ex to remind you of the passion that is still alive inside of you.  These dreams are actually good for you and are alerting you to the fact that the passion department doesn’t want to become a thing of the past. Might be a good idea to get thyself down to Victoria’s Secret® and buy something red and lacy.
Jennifer replies:  It makes so much sense now.  He was my first love.  While I was with him, there was lots of excitement and passion.  We would do things so spontaneously.  And  I wasn’t as self-conscious as I am now.   I can see now that I don’t get involved in new things like I did before.  You’re right; I do need to spice things up, in my life and in my marriage.  You’ve made me see things in a different light.
Jennifer’s marriage, like millions of marriages before hers and millions of marriages yet to be, has become complacent. Complacency is easy because it takes no effort.  Like Jennifer, as we settle into the land of Hum Drum while awake, our dreams become restless while we sleep.  The dreaming mind doesn’t forget the excitement and thrill from long ago, so it will bring those feelings back to you in the form of the person you first experienced those feelings with.  These dreams aren’t about the person, they are about the feelings.
The most common meaning behind the “sex with the ex” dream is a need to rekindle the excitement in your intimate life. Once you take action on your dream’s gentle nudging, and continue to change it up and keep it interesting, the ex won’t need to pay you another visit… that is unless the ex still has a role in your life, such as an ex spouse.  If you deal with the ex spouse on a regular basis then that person is not likely to be a symbol, rather your inner mind is alerting you to an issue with that specific person and, as always, you will need to look at what happened the day before the dream in order to pinpoint the issue.
The exes we tend to have naughty dreams about  the most are our first love, an ex we still have ties to because of children or other circumstances, or the ex that most recently broke our heart. Dreaming of the ex that broke your heart can be a sign that you are stuck emotionally and have not allowed yourself to move on. These dreams are a clear indication that you have not healed in which case the dreams will continue until you let go and leave the past in the past.  It is impossible to move forward while you are still holding on to what is behind you.

Spicy or awkward, your sex dreams play an important role in your life’s journey.   In a nut shell, they show you what you lack.  In waking life sex begins with desire, proceeds to a merger and ends in completion and satisfaction.  The dreaming mind uses this same process to help you bring what you lack into your life. If you desire to be able to speak your mind, your dream will use someone you know that has that ability, will create a desire for them in your dream, merge your bodies together to symbolize bringing that quality into yourself and in most cases, complete the merger and give you satisfaction i.e. orgasm, which is not only representative of the satisfaction of having that quality be a new part of you but is also icing on the cake!

Positions to make female orgasm easier during intercourse

If you're a woman who finds climaxing easy and can have orgasms during intercourse with little effort – even in a position where it's difficult to access the clitoris – then you are very lucky indeed!
For the majority of us, 'ringing that bell' is not nearly so simple.
Even women who can masturbate to a climax with no difficulty can feel quite anxious about 'coming' with a male partner.
This doesn't seem fair, because apart from the small minority of men who have psychological difficulties with sex and who cannot relax enough to ejaculate into their partner (delayed ejaculation), most males have no problem at all in climaxing during sexual intercourse.
But of course, in a man, the penis is the pleasure-provider. And clearly a penis gets a lot of stimulation during intercourse.
Women, as you probably know, get their pleasurable feelings mostly from the clitoris – which is the bit of them that would have turned into a penis had they developed into a baby boy in the womb, instead of into a girl.
For that reason, most women need the clitoris to be stimulated during sex – and in many positions this simply doesn't happen.
Now, please don't feel bad if you'd never really realised this before, because you're not alone.
In my consulting room, I've seen many successful women – including lawyers, bankers and TV presenters – who were quite unaware of what it takes for most women to climax and who, as a result, had spent ages blaming themselves and feeling inadequate.
    But the truth is that:
    • most women have to learn how to orgasm
    • the majority of women do not climax through 'no hands' intercourse.

    So, what can you do?

If you're having trouble in reaching climax, the best thing you can do is to start by learning how to orgasm on your own through masturbation.
There are articles that can help you, including:
Once you can climax easily on your own, you'll find it much easier to have really exciting times with a partner.
But even if you are the queen of masturbatory techniques, you might still find it tough to climax during full sex, and this will almost certainly be because your clitoris is not getting sufficient attention.
So here are four sex positions that might help you to enjoy intercourse more and to have fulfilling orgasms at the same time.

    The CAT position

(This stands for coital adjusted technique, but don't let that rather technical and boring title put you off!)
Basically this is a face-to-face position, but the man 'rides much higher' than he would in the missionary position so that his shoulders and head are about six inches higher up the bed than normal.
What this means is that his penis doesn't go all the way into the vagina. Instead, the stem or root of it is pulled hard against the clitoris – producing great sensations in that all-important little organ.
The other difference is that instead of taking his weight on his elbows, the man should simply let his bulk slump onto his partner's upper chest.
Clearly if he's a heavy bloke, this might be a problem!
You can experiment with this position to get it absolutely right for you. Some people do it with the man's legs outside the woman, but you can also try it with his legs inside yours.
Many couples find they can't thrust much in this position so they kind of 'rock' together.
The CAT certainly produces very different sensations from many other positions, so it's worth a try, and it might just take you to the heights of ecstasy. I hope it does.

    The free-as-air position

The man lies down on his back. The woman faces the other way and sits down on his penis. Then, in her own time, she gradually lowers herself so that – with his penis inside her – her back is lying fully outstretched on the front of his body.
The woman can feel genuinely weightless and free-as-air – which is quite a novel sensation. Another bonus is that either partner can touch the clitoris easily. So it's different and fun – and usually a great time is had by all.

    The Pinner position

This is a particularly good position if you feel nervous about touching your own clitoris. You shouldn't be of course because it's yours – and you should feel perfectly free to stimulate it yourself if you want to.
But the thing about this position is that many men can't really tell if you are touching it or not.
    What happens is this.
You lie flat on your front and he lies, face down, on top of you. He then penetrates you from behind.
But because you are flat on the bed, you get very different sensations from any rear-entry position where your bottom is up in the air. And you can slip your hand in between the bed and your body and rub your own clitoris.
Plenty of women who have never 'come' during intercourse have found that they climaxed in the Pinner position.

    The spoons position

    Finally, 'the spoons'.
This is the position where you lie on your side and your man lies curled up round your bottom (like spoons in a drawer) and penetrates you from behind.
Lots of women like this, though not all of them find it easy to orgasm on their sides. But the great advantage here is that either partner can reach round and rub the clitoris. Also, neither of you is having to take the weight of the other.

    Finally

There's no right or wrong way to have sex with a partner. Every couple has to experiment to find out what works for them.
But I hope that trying out these positions will be fun – and that they may help you to have an exciting and orgasmic time.

Why precious Marriage Relationships are getting broken easily now-a-days ?

As Human beings are getting more into world of satisfying themselves, they are paying less attention towards morals and traditions. But many religion morals say,  Marriage is a precious bond between men and women, which makes their life to pass in a systematic way  to give some chance for next generation to live. But in today’s life, it became a bond to satisfy their sexual desires and in this way man is totally paying less attention towards reproduction to their young ones. Marriage is between a male and female, that too turned into a corner with Gay, Lesbian marriages, if these type of new marriage rules the world then ? may be with this reason human reproduction falls down to Zero. In the magic of satisfying, he is violating every small law of marriage. But he isn’t thinking, why marriage was introduced ? many are losing their Interest towards their Partner after few months and many say its common Now. If marriage relationship gets swiped away in future, then everyone loses their Parents identity. The Main reason in today’s Marriage is Sexual desire, But nature says “sex is only to reproduce their species”. Every species excluding man is going according to nature’s rule.

Why Your Husband flirts another girl for sex ?
[ Download Verified Windows, Java, Iphone Apps for Free! www.driveapps.tk ]

(A bit about me – I only write for women. And I am only going to
address things that wives can change in this post.My goal is to point
wives towards having Christ as Lordand towards obeying His Wordand His
    beautiful design for marriage.)
    FLIRTING IN OUR CULTURE
Our culture thinks nothing about married people flirting with others.
It's "not a big deal." It won't hurt anyone! That is what a lot of
    us believe, at least.
But what is the real harm in flirting? Why does it matter? Where is the line?
    FLIRTING IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
I believe that flirting (outside of marriage) is VERY dangerous for
people who aremarried. It is an extremely slippery slope from
flirting to infatuation to an affair.I don't think ANYONE is above
this kind of temptation. I'm not! The only way I can avoid sexual
temptations is to put VERY CLEAR BOUNDARIES around my marriage and my
heart and to cling to Christ.
Not only does flirting make it possible and more probable that someone
will begin an affair, but it is just downright DISRESPECTFUL toward a
person's spouse and marriage covenant before God.
The Bible commands us to FLEE from sexual immorality as believers.
And we are alsocommanded not to allow even a "hint" of sexual
    immorality to be among us.
A marriage covenant is a VERY serious thing in God's sight. The price
of flirting withsomeone else is just way too high, in my opinion. Is
it possible that I might get away with flirting temporarily
withoutbecoming involved in an affair? Maybe. But it is also very
likely that flirting could lead to much more than I intended and the
    fall out couldbe catastrophic.
MY PERSONAL CONVICTIONS ARE TO AVOID:
    *.private emails with other men
*.long private phone conversations with men
*.being alone with a man in a house or room with closed door
    *.private texting or Facebookchatting
*.building close work relationships with men
*.allowing men to disrespect my marriage by flirting with me
Each believer will have to pray and seek God's wisdom and determine
for himself/herself what boundaries God may desire them to have.
Very few people set out intending to have an affair. It almost always
starts as a friendship or close work relationship then proceeds slowly
to flirting and confiding emotional details and problems– and then,
before you know it, you are feeling unloved and lonely in your
marriage and you have a man just waiting to "rescue" you and shower
you with compliments, romance and attention – and then the emotional
affair or sexual affair "just happens."
It can't just happen when we stay far away from compromising
situations and provide no opportunity for theflesh!
FOR WOMEN WHOSE HUSBANDSARE FLIRTING WITH OTHER WOMEN
My first concern is,why is he flirting with other women?Obviously, all
humans are sinful and- men and women alike (Romans 3:23– For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God). "Sin" is an archery term
that means "to fall short of the target." Sin is wrong in the eyes
of our holy God and the person who is guilty of sin willbe accountable
to God for what he/she does.
But sometimes digging into thereasons behind the sin can behelpful for
a spouse to try to understand what is happening.
My guesses would be that it:
*.makes him feel desired and accepted
    *.makes him feel powerful
*.makes him feel more masculine and more like a man
*.makes him feel like he's "still got it."
    *.makes him feel admired/respected
*.makes him feel like he is in control
*.His fellowship with the Holy Spirit may be compromised because of
some other sin and he may be operating in "flesh mode" instead of
"filled with the Holy Spirit mode." It is possible there could be
    lust involved here.
I am not responsible for my husband's sin. He willstand accountable
to Godfor his behavior no matter what I do.
I will stand accountable to God for my behavior and obedience to God
no matter what my husband does.
    INFLUENCE AUTHORITY
I can INFLUENCE my husband and make sin more or less tempting for him
by my own behavior. We are one spiritually, emotionally and
physically in marriage. What I do affects him. What he does affects
me. Husbands have "positional authority" and wives have "influence
authority." Our power is similar to the power of an advisor to a
king. And this kind of authority is often morepowerful than
    positional authority!

Women Under 30 Aren't Having Sex
According to a group of new studies, young women between the ages of 18 and 30 are suffering from low libido at rates never seen before: 43% of women have sexual problems, they say. And 1 in 10 women doesn't want to have sex at all, trumpeted a recent ABC News story.

The weird part isn't the fact that women are reporting what experts like to call "sexual dysfunction," but that women this young are: Usually we think of sexual issues as the stuff that plagues the over-40 set.

But sexperts are now blaming 20-somethings with low libido on everything from stress (we're worried about our jobs/working longer hours) to birth control/antidepressants (both are potent chemical cocktails that can make lust dry up), and, well, Hollywood:

"Young women are feeling pressured to be sex pots," pronounced one sexpert in the ABC story.

Of course, there isn't a media outlet out there that doesn't like to start a story: "In bedrooms across America...", so, in our mind, the real question is: Which of these theories are true, which are mere media hype, and what can you do to keep your sex life hot? Dr. Debby Herbenick, a sexual health educator and researcher at The Kinsey Institute and author of Because It Feels Good: A Woman's Guide to Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction, gives it to you straight.

But, please, in the comments, pick an anonymous handle, and tell us all about your sex life -- or lack thereof.

Lemondrop: What do you think of these studies reporting low desire in women who are at the prime age to get it on?
Herbenick: It's difficult for us to tell how much this has changed over time because we don't have good data on it from years ago. But we do know that there are some young women who really do have a problem with sexual desire and that runs across the lifespan...

We also know that desire tends to decrease in long-term relationships, so you can be young and healthy and fit, but you could still experience a decrease in desire the longer you stay with someone, whether you're a woman or a man. Also, recently, because we have such a focus on desire and so many discussions about low libido, we have a lot more women questioning if their desire is at the right level. We're seeing a lot more distress than we used to.

Let's talk about Hollywood for a minute. Do you really think the entertainment industry is partly to blame?
Absolutely. We see people that are always ready to have sex in movies and television, as if sex is always the number one priority in people's lives. But we know that's just not the case, and it shouldn't be. Worrying about work and school take precedence. Those stresses of life take their toll on sleep and eating and stress -- and also sex.

Is there a link between birth control and low sexual desire?
Some studies have found that a portion of women, not all, do experience lower sexual desire after they start the birth control pill. Unfortunately, a lot of researchers have tried to do more on this but have been unsuccessful in getting funding because, as you can imagine, there hasn't been a lot of interest from pharmaceutical companies to investigate this since they make those products.

What about women who take antidepressants?
We know that for some women on antidepressants, sexual problems are a common side effect, including difficulty with orgasm.

And how much do you think the inability to orgasm is related to low sexual desire?

It can be linked, but there are certainly many women who enjoy sex whether or not they have an orgasm, which is hard for a lot of men to grasp. If you're a woman who is used to having orgasms or for whom orgasms are important, and you don't have one, then desire might be affected next time you have sex. But, also, sex might not be pleasurable if you don't feel connected to your partner. And on average, women have lower sex drives than men, and sometimes that leads to what they feel is 'duty sex' or obligation sex, and it starts this cycle of dread. Overall, there can be lots of reasons why you lose desire.

What advice do you give women who are suffering from low libido?
I often ask women if it is a problem for them or a problem because they think they are disappointing their partner. They should also look at what's changed in their lives: Am I tired? Am I stressed? Did I just have a baby? Often lifestyle behaviors are very strongly related to sex, but we really undervalue that. If you think your partner wants it more than you, talk to your partner. Sometimes he doesn't know, and it's fine. You can do something else together.

As far as what you can do, there's some more research that mindfulness techniques can help. Women are very prone to cognitive distractions -- worrying about the laundry, worrying about the kids, worrying about school, instead of focusing on sex. Instead, you should focus on how the sheets feel on your skin, how your partner's skin and hair smells and how it feels to kiss them and touch them. Really focusing on those things can help you find the desire in sex again.

There's also research on storytelling techniques. Sometimes when our partner's approach us we think, "Oh no, he wants sex again. All he ever wants is sex." And that's a negative story. But if you can replace that with a positive story like, "He thinks I'm so hot, he can't resist himself,' we find that those positive sexy stories can help women feel in the mood.

There's still a lot of talk about the female Viagra. What about taking a drug that claims to increase desire?
For a portion of women, medication might be helpful if nothing else really works. But I think it'd be a mistake if drugs were the first line of treatment because we have decades of knowledge that sex therapy works well and more cognitive techniques can work. Mostly these things are about relationships: If you don't feel loved or desired or special to your partner or they are condescending towards you, a pill is not going to work.

7 Sex secrets women want men to know ?
A good talk is a great aphrodisiac
Many women find talk a greatturn-on. For them, talking and feeling
loved are very important. Good conversationduring walks or while the
couple is relaxing can be a great aphrodisiac. A man could tell his
woman how much he loves her, which acts as a reassurance that he is
with her mentally during those intimate moments.
Many women are anxious about their looks
For a couple that has been together for long, sometimesit is natural
that women may feel that their partner may find them less alluring.
Because of this some women undress only under the cover of darkness.
Caring men can sense such anxieties. There is no need to lie and say
she's gorgeous if she isn't, nor is there a need to say that sheis not
attractive anymore. One can always appreciate and praise what you do
    find attractive.
For a woman sex isn't separate from rest of her life
On the other hand, men tendto compartmentalise, feeling that stressful
aspects of life can be parked mentally and separated from sexual
activity. Women need good feelings and experiences during the day to
have satisfying sex. How her lover treats her out of bed, greatly
influences her response in bed. Inattentiveness, harsh language, rude
tones, hurtful words, and criticism can make it difficult for a woman
to get involved, feel enthusiastic and be passionate during sex.
An orgasm is not a necessity
Many men feel that a good lover is one who can bring his woman to
climactic sexualculmination. It is great to have such moments, but
aren't always essential. Many women feel pressure from partners and
even fromthemselves to reach an orgasm. Sometimes instead of having
orgasms, women prefer to engage in just foreplay.
Sex need not be a serious act
Playfulness is a great quality. Many men are far tooserious about sex.
They forget to laugh, be romantically mischievous, have fun.
Playfulness and light-heartedness can make intimate moments enjoyable
and relaxing. This takes performance pressure off from both partners.
Women cherish non-sexual touching and tenderness
Women love romance, cuddling, hand-holding and kissing. But many women
complain that their men never do this except during foreplay. A woman
should make her man realise the joyof touching. As you give him a
relaxing massage and stroke his face and hair tenderly, he starts
experiencing the joy of this kind of non-sexual touching.Tell your man
what makes you feel loved and wanted.
Warm attention after sex is important
A woman's need for tender moments goes beyond the actual lovemaking.
Some women complain that men fall asleep immediately after the act. It
is true that when a man is having sex, his endorphin level is very
high.Almost immediately after ejaculation, he goes througha refractory
phase where heloses his erection and all hissystems gear down. In
females this phase happens gradually. However, if you don't like him
falling asleep immediately, tell him without putting him down.
Alternatively, let him sleep inyour arms for a few minutes and gently
    wake him up afterwards.
